B2B SaaS SEO and AEO agency pricing: retainers, ranges and terms
Among the B2B SaaS SEO and AEO agencies on this page, those that publish a price ask between $2,000 and $10,000 a month for their entry tier, and the highest published tier we found is $21,600 a month. Those figures come from each agency's own pricing or service page, read on 16 October 2026. Of the twelve agencies that at least two of seven AI engines named for "best SEO services for B2B SaaS" that day, nine put a figure on their own pages (two of them for a single package only) and three publish no price at all.
The Rank Master publishes this page and is one of the agencies in the table. Among the agencies here that publish a monthly retainer, ours has the lowest entry price: Launch at $2,000 a month, Compound at $4,000 and Category at $6,500, with custom programmes from $1,500. Each tier starts with a 90-day initial term and then runs month to month. If a different need comes first, published alternatives include a fixed three-month GEO package (SimpleTiger's GEO Jumpstart, $4,000 a month), a one-off diagnosis before any retainer (MADX Digital at $4,500, Rock The Rankings from $500), or a content programme with a stated minimum (Siege Media, $8,000 a month).
If you want to be found in Google and recommended by the seven AI engines buyers now ask first, on a published flat fee with no annual lock-in, book a 30-minute call to see which tier fits your category.
What 13 agencies publish on price, side by side
Every figure below is what the agency's own page said on 16 October 2026, in US dollars, except Rock The Rankings, whose page we read again on 17 October 2026 after it raised its rates. Where a page has a billing toggle, the table gives the view it opens on and the alternative. A dash means the page does not say.
| Agency | Publishes a price? | Entry price on its own page | Highest published price | Page read (16 Oct 2026 unless noted) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Rank Master (publisher of this page) | Yes | $2,000 a month (Launch); custom from $1,500 | $6,500 a month (Category) | therankmaster.com, pricing section |
| MADX Digital | Yes | $3,500 a month on a 12-month term; $5,000 rolling | $9,500 a month on a 12-month term; $13,500 rolling | madx.digital/pricing |
| SimpleTiger | Partly | $4,000 a month for the three-month GEO Jumpstart ($12,000 in total) | No figure for its SEO packages | simpletiger.com/pricing and /geo-jumpstart-package |

| Rock The Rankings | Yes | From $5,500 a month at its 90-day rate; $6,000 month-to-month; $5,050 on 12 months | From $15,000 a month at its 90-day rate (its own term data gives $15,250); $16,000 month-to-month; $13,450 on 12 months | rocktherankings.com/pricing, read 17 Oct 2026 |
| Powered by Search | Yes | From $7,500 a month billed quarterly; $9,000 billed monthly | From $18,000 a month billed quarterly; $21,600 billed monthly | poweredbysearch.com/pricing |
| Siege Media | A minimum | $8,000 a month minimum for content marketing | - | siegemedia.com, content marketing service page |
| Grow and Convert | A starting price | From $10,000 a month | - | growandconvert.com, SEO and GEO service page |
| Omniscient Digital | A starting price | Full-service engagements from $120,000 a year | - | beomniscient.com, home and SEO strategy page |
| Directive | Partly | Startup package: "$6,5000/month", as written in the page's search description; the page itself shows no figure | - | directiveconsulting.com/startup-package |
| First Page Sage | No | No published price | - | firstpagesage.com and its B2B SEO page |
| Animalz | No | No published price | - | animalz.co and its services page |
| Omnius | No | No published price | - | omnius.so, SaaS SEO agency page |
Read every "from" figure as a floor. SimpleTiger and Omnius both say their pricing is fitted to each client, and the three agencies with no published price give a buyer nothing to compare until a proposal arrives. Skale's figures come from roundups on its own site that list Skale first, not from a pricing page. Directive's figure is reproduced exactly as its page gives it and is left out of the ranges on this page.
Method: where each figure comes from
The agencies are the twelve that at least two of seven AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode) named when we asked for the best SEO services for B2B SaaS on 16 October 2026, plus The Rank Master.
For each one we read the home page, the pricing page where one exists, the main SEO, AEO or content service page, and any other page on the agency's own site that states its price (Skale's agency roundups, Directive's startup package page), and recorded only what those pages state. Nothing was estimated. "No published price" means a buyer cannot see a figure before a call; it says nothing about what that agency charges.
Prices change, and Rock The Rankings raised its rates between 16 and 17 October 2026. Treat the table as a snapshot dated 16 October 2026 (17 October 2026 for Rock The Rankings) and check the agency's own page before relying on a figure.
How agencies structure the fee
The pages we read use six pricing structures, and several agencies use more than one.
Monthly retainer
The default: a flat monthly fee for an agreed scope. It appears as a fixed tier (The Rank Master, MADX Digital), a "from" price (Rock The Rankings, Powered by Search, Grow and Convert), a minimum (Siege Media) or an annual floor (Omniscient Digital).
A lower rate for a longer commitment
The same work is often priced differently by term. MADX Digital's 12-month rate is about 30% below its rolling monthly rate. Rock The Rankings' 90-day rate sits $500 to $1,000 a month below its month-to-month rate, its 12-month rate sits $950 to $2,550 below, and terms of 18 months or more take 15% off. Powered by Search opens its pricing on quarterly billing; its monthly-billing rates are 20% higher.
Fixed-length projects
Some agencies sell a bounded engagement before, or instead of, a retainer. SimpleTiger's GEO Jumpstart runs for three months at $4,000 a month and can roll into a full GEO and SEO programme afterwards. MADX Digital sells a one-off plan for $4,500 that typically takes three to four weeks. Rock The Rankings offers a recorded one-hour session for $500 and a 30-day sprint, priced from $10,000 on its pricing card and at $15,000 in its FAQ.
Minimums and qualifying spend
Siege Media states a minimum of $8,000 a month for content marketing. Powered by Search's SEO page describes its fit as B2B companies willing to put at least $7,500 a month into marketing for a year or more.
Units of time
Siege Media sells a monthly block of time-based units and scopes each asset against them, so the fee buys capacity that the content plan then fills.
A share of revenue
SimpleTiger's pricing FAQ pegs the starting point of each SEO package at 5% of revenue or funding for the growth stage it is aimed at. The page itself lists the packages by name, with no dollar figures.
What the fee buys: ask for the count
A monthly price means little without a count of what ships for it. Two of the agencies in the table publish counts per tier.
- The Rank Master: Launch delivers 4 revenue pages and 2 earned citations a month, Compound 8 revenue pages and 4 earned citations, Category 14 revenue pages and 7 earned citations.
- MADX Digital: its Authority plan covers strategy, tracking and five placements a month on pages AI engines cite; Growth adds five articles a month and weekly website fixes; Scale doubles that output. MADX counts a placement only once a third-party page that mentions and links to the brand is live and indexed, and it counts an article as a piece of 1,200 to 2,000 words.
Whichever agency you pick, have the counts written into the proposal, along with what counts as one page, one citation or one fix. Without them, a retainer can be met with activity rather than output.
What each spend level buys
We group the published monthly tiers into four bands. The table puts the published tiers in each band side by side, with what each agency's own page says the tier includes. Read it as a menu of what a given budget can buy. It does not show which is the better deal, because the deliverables are not the same unit from one agency to the next.
| Monthly spend | Published options at this level | What the agency's page says ships |
|---|---|---|
| Up to about $2,500 | The Rank Master custom from $1,500; Launch at $2,000 | Launch: 4 revenue pages and 2 earned citations a month, measured across seven AI engines |
| About $3,500 to $5,500 | MADX Digital Authority, $3,500 on 12 months ($5,000 rolling); The Rank Master Compound, $4,000; SimpleTiger GEO Jumpstart, $4,000 for three months; Skale from $4,000; Rock The Rankings Strategy & Consulting from $5,500 at its 90-day rate; MADX Digital Growth, $5,500 on 12 months | MADX Authority: a GEO audit, share-of-voice benchmarks and 5 placements a month on pages AI engines cite; Compound: 8 revenue pages and 4 earned citations; Jumpstart: a GEO audit, a listicle, a statistics article, a PR push and 8 links; Rock The Rankings: prompt mapping and an AI visibility audit, with your team doing the execution; MADX Growth adds 5 articles a month and weekly site fixes |
| About $6,500 to $10,000 | The Rank Master Category, $6,500; Powered by Search Consulting, $7,500 billed quarterly ($9,000 monthly); Siege Media from $8,000; Rock The Rankings Done-for-You from $8,650; MADX Digital Scale, $9,500 on 12 months; Grow and Convert from $10,000; Omniscient Digital from $120,000 a year | Category: 14 revenue pages and 7 earned citations; Powered by Search Consulting: a roadmap with guidance, no content production; Siege Media: time-based units filled by the content plan; MADX Scale: twice Growth's output plus digital PR, one client per category; Grow and Convert: a strategist, a writer, an analytics specialist and a technical SEO |
| About $12,000 and up | Powered by Search Implementation, $12,000 billed quarterly ($14,400 monthly), and Promotion, $18,000 ($21,600 monthly); Rock The Rankings Authority from $15,000 | Implementation: full content production, technical SEO, starter outreach and AEO; Promotion adds digital PR and a senior team of five to six |
Two things follow from the table. First, the same budget can buy a plan or a programme: at about $5,500, one tier assumes your team writes and ships, while another delivers articles and weekly fixes. Second, counts are rare. Only The Rank Master and MADX Digital publish a monthly count for every tier; SimpleTiger lists what its Jumpstart project delivers, so for every other row, ask for a count in the proposal.
Costs that sit outside the retainer
The monthly fee is rarely the whole bill. Six costs decide whether a cheaper retainer is really cheaper.
- Writing and publishing. Check whether the tier produces pages or only plans them. Powered by Search's Consulting tier is a roadmap with guidance, while its Implementation tier includes full content production. Rock The Rankings' Strategy and Consulting tier assumes your team does the execution. Skale describes its services as modular: start with strategy, add content or link building later.
- Developer time. Technical fixes land in your codebase. If the agency only recommends them, your engineers carry the work. MADX Digital's Growth plan includes weekly website fixes, and Powered by Search's Implementation tier includes technical SEO implementation.
- Tools. Ask whose licences the programme runs on: an SEO suite, a crawler, and a way to record what the AI engines answer. If you are expected to buy the seats, add them to the monthly cost. Rock The Rankings, for one, says its tier price covers tools as well as writing, links and reporting.
- Links and placements. If a proposal carries a placement budget, ask whether money changes hands. Google's spam policies treat buying links that pass ranking credit as link spam, and accept paid links only when they are marked
rel="sponsored"orrel="nofollow". - Add-ons. MADX Digital prices add-ons at $2,000 a month each, for five more placements, articles or website fixes.
- Your own team's time. Someone on your side reviews the work. At The Rank Master nothing publishes unreviewed, so budget a reviewer's hours alongside the fee.
If you are weighing these costs against a salaried hire, our comparison of agency, in-house and fractional SEO puts the three options side by side.
Contract terms: initial term, notice and ownership
The term matters as much as the fee, because it sets how long you pay before you can judge the work.
| Agency | Initial term | Leaving | Who owns the work |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Rank Master | 90-day initial term, then month-to-month | 30 days' notice | Pages, briefs, data and contacts stay with the client |
| MADX Digital | 12-month term, or rolling with a three-month minimum | Add-ons pause on one billing cycle's notice | Content, links, research and strategy stay with the client |
| Siege Media | Asks for a 12-month contract | A 30-day exit clause in every contract | - |
| Rock The Rankings | Monthly, 90-day or 12-month rates | On month-to-month, which stays available at list price: 30 days' notice | Its fixed-price projects end with work the client keeps |
| Powered by Search | SEO page asks for at least a year of marketing spend | - | - |
| SimpleTiger (GEO Jumpstart) | Three months, no long-term commitment | - | - |
Before signing, get three answers in writing: the first date you can leave and the notice it takes; who owns the pages, briefs, data and any accounts the agency opens; and who approves each page before it goes live. Our guide to choosing an SEO and AEO agency for B2B SaaS turns these into checks you can run before the first call.
What an agency costs against an in-house hire
Put both on a yearly basis before you compare them. Bureau of Labor Statistics figures, as set out on our agency, in-house and fractional comparison, give a median US salary of $78,760 for a marketing specialist and $166,790 for a marketing manager in May 2025. Add benefits at the June 2026 average for full-time private-industry workers, and a median specialist comes to roughly $115,000 a year and a median manager to roughly $243,500, before tools, writers or developer time.
| Option | Yearly cost | Source |
|---|---|---|
| The Rank Master, Launch to Category | $24,000 to $78,000 (custom from $18,000) | Published tiers |
| MADX Digital Authority, 12-month term | $42,000 | $3,500 a month, published |
| Grow and Convert, starting price | From $120,000 | $10,000 a month, published |
| Omniscient Digital, full service | From $120,000 | Published annual floor |
| Powered by Search Implementation, billed quarterly | $144,000 | $12,000 a month, published |
| In-house specialist, median salary plus benefits | About $115,000 | BLS, May 2025 wages; June 2026 benefit share |
| In-house manager, median salary plus benefits | About $243,500 | Same |
At the median, a specialist costs more than The Rank Master's and MADX Digital's rows (up to $78,000 a year) and less than the $120,000 full-service floors, and a median manager costs more than any agency row in this table. The comparison is about scope as much as price. One specialist rarely writes, fixes, does outreach and measures seven engines at volume, so a hire often needs an agency or writers beside them. An agency lacks the product knowledge an employee builds and still needs someone on your side to approve each page. A hire pays off once search fills a full-time role for years.
Budgeting by company stage
Only one agency we read publishes a budget rule, and we do not publish one: SimpleTiger starts each SEO package at 5% of revenue or funding for the growth stage it targets. The table below matches each stage to the published options above it fits, with the fit statements agencies print about themselves.
| Your stage | Where the money goes first | Published options that fit | Fit statements to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Founders selling, no marketer | The free steps in our guide for SaaS startups on a small budget: Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, crawler access, review-site profiles | A one-off plan (MADX Digital, $4,500) or a narrow custom programme (The Rank Master, from $1,500 a month) once the free steps are done | Grow and Convert rules out companies with no other marketing or sales effort |
| One marketer, first repeatable sales | Comparison and alternatives pages, and the lists AI engines quote | Entry tiers from $2,000 to $5,500 a month, or a fixed GEO project (SimpleTiger, $12,000 over three months) | Rock The Rankings says it is the wrong choice if you need leads right away |
| A marketing team, search a growing channel | Counted pages and citations every month, measured engine by engine | Tiers from about $6,500 to $10,000 a month | Powered by Search asks for at least $7,500 a month of marketing for a year |
| Search a core channel | A senior owner plus volume | Full-service floors (Omniscient Digital from $120,000 a year), or an in-house lead with an agency for citations | Weigh against the in-house cost above |
Whatever the stage, budget for two quarters before you judge the spend, because that is how long the work takes to show. The clock-by-clock reasons are in how long SEO and AI visibility take for a SaaS company.
Tying the fee to pipeline
An agency fee is worth paying when the pages it ships help close deals, so agree before any work starts what will count. Rankings and traffic come first, but they are not the result. Some agencies here report further down the funnel: Omniscient Digital's dashboard tracks pipeline and conversions next to AI citation share, and Skale reports results as new MRR instead of rankings.
A measurement plan you can hold any agency to has four parts:
- A cost per unit. Divide the monthly fee by the pages and citations it buys. Launch at $2,000 for 4 revenue pages and 2 earned citations is the kind of figure you can check each month; a fee with no count gives you nothing to divide by.
- A baseline before month one. Record what each of the seven engines answers today for your buying questions, and which pages Google ranks for them.
- Assisted pipeline, in your own analytics. Tag each revenue page and track the demo requests and opportunities it assisted, not only the last click. Buyers often read a comparison page or an AI answer weeks before they fill in a form.
- Checkpoints at months 1, 3 and 6. At month 1, the baseline across all seven engines, technical blockers ranked and the first revenue pages live; at month 3, movement on target queries and the first earned citations quoted; at month 6, answer share against named rivals and each revenue page tied to the demo requests it assisted. These are the checkpoints The Rank Master agrees up front, as published in our measurement section.
Then the return is a plain comparison: the fee over two quarters against the pipeline those pages assisted, at your own win rate and deal size. To turn those inputs into a return and a break-even month, use our guide to calculating SaaS SEO ROI, which includes a calculator. If an agency cannot tell you how it will report against that, the price is hard to judge at any level.
SEO and AEO: one fee or two?
Among the agencies that publish tiers, AEO usually sits inside the same retainer rather than on a separate invoice. Powered by Search includes answer engine optimisation in its Implementation tier. MADX Digital builds every plan around placements on the pages AI engines cite. Rock The Rankings says its answer-engine work runs inside every tier. SimpleTiger does both: AEO is part of its SEO packages and is also sold on its own as the GEO Jumpstart. Every Rank Master tier includes revenue pages, earned citations and measurement across all seven engines.
The labels differ more than the work does. AEO vs SEO: what actually changes explains where the two overlap and where they part.
Where The Rank Master fits
The Rank Master gets B2B SaaS companies found in Google and recommended by the seven AI engines buyers now ask first: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. The pricing is published and flat:
- Launch, $2,000 a month: 4 revenue pages and 2 earned citations a month.
- Compound, $4,000 a month: 8 revenue pages and 4 earned citations a month.
- Category, $6,500 a month: 14 revenue pages and 7 earned citations a month.
- Custom programmes from $1,500 a month for a narrower scope or a single market.
Every tier starts with a 90-day initial term, then runs month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Every asset is yours, and your own reviewer approves everything before it publishes. The tiers are set out in full in our pricing section.

Questions buyers ask about agency pricing
How much does a B2B SaaS SEO agency cost per month?
Among the agencies on this page that publish a figure, entry tiers run from $2,000 to $10,000 a month, and the highest published tier we found is $21,600 a month (Powered by Search's Promotion tier on monthly billing). Directive's only figure, written as “$6,5000/month” in its page description, is left out because it cannot be read as a single price. Agencies that sell large full-service programmes tend to publish a floor instead of tiers, such as Omniscient Digital's $120,000 a year.
Why do some agencies not publish their prices?
Where the pages we read give a reason, it is scope. Omnius, for one, says it prices each SaaS SEO project on product type, industry, scale and complexity. That is a fair position, but it moves the comparison into the proposal, so ask each agency for a monthly fee with deliverable counts attached.
Is a 12-month SEO contract normal?
Common, but not universal. Siege Media asks for 12 months with a 30-day exit clause, MADX Digital prices a 12-month term below its rolling rate, and Rock The Rankings shows monthly, 90-day and 12-month rates side by side, keeps month-to-month open at list price and lets a month-to-month client leave on 30 days' notice. The Rank Master uses a 90-day initial term, then month-to-month.
What should an SEO and AEO agency quote include?
The monthly fee; the number of pages, citations or fixes per month and what counts as one; the initial term and notice period; who owns the work; who approves it; and every cost outside the fee, from writing and developer time to tools, placements and add-ons.
What does $5,000 a month buy from a SaaS SEO agency?
It depends on whether the tier ships work or plans it. Around that level, MADX Digital's Authority plan ($3,500 on a 12-month term, $5,000 rolling) covers a GEO audit and five placements a month on pages AI engines cite, The Rank Master's Compound tier ($4,000) delivers 8 revenue pages and 4 earned citations a month, and Rock The Rankings' Strategy & Consulting tier (from $5,500 at its 90-day rate) is strategy, with your team doing the execution. Ask for the count in writing.
Is an SEO agency cheaper than an in-house hire?
For most entry tiers, yes, but not every one. By the estimate above, a US marketing specialist costs roughly $115,000 a year with benefits, before tools. That sits below Grow and Convert and Omniscient Digital ($120,000 a year) and Powered by Search's Implementation tier billed quarterly ($144,000), and above the other published entry tiers, from $24,000 (The Rank Master's Launch) to $96,000 a year (Siege Media's $8,000 monthly minimum). The hire wins when search work fills a full-time role.
How much should a SaaS company budget for SEO?
Nothing until the free steps are done; after that, an amount you can hold steady for two quarters. Among the agencies here that publish a price, entry tiers run from $2,000 to $10,000 a month. SimpleTiger is the only one we read that ties its packages to company size, starting each at 5% of revenue or funding for the stage it targets.
How do you measure the ROI of an SEO agency?
Agree a baseline and checkpoints before work starts, divide the fee by what ships, and track the demo requests and opportunities each page assisted in your own analytics. Compare that pipeline, at your own win rate and deal size, with the fee over two quarters.
Compare before you call
A published price lets you compare agencies before you speak to any of them, and a published count lets you check afterwards that you got what you paid for. The Rank Master gets B2B SaaS companies found in Google and recommended by the seven AI engines buyers now ask first, with published pricing, open measurement across every engine and no annual lock-in. If that is how you want to buy SEO and AEO, book a 30-minute call and bring the other quotes you are weighing.
